Today marked a significant leap forward for the Mudan Codes Community as we officially launched a React Web Development Training Program tailored for 25 ambitious Somali girls eager to sharpen their coding skills and break into professional web development.
React — one of the world’s most in-demand front-end JavaScript libraries — is widely used by tech giants and startups alike. This program is designed to empower participants with the skills needed to build scalable, responsive web applications from scratch.
👩🏽💻 What the Training Covers:
- Fundamentals of JavaScript ES6+
- Introduction to React and component-based architecture
- State management and hooks
- Routing and dynamic content
- Project structuring and API integration
- Deployment of React apps to live environments
✨ Why It Matters:
In Somalia, the tech industry is rapidly growing — but the gender gap remains stark. This program is a direct response to that gap. By providing girls with cutting-edge web development skills, we’re not just teaching code — we’re building confidence, leadership, and financial independence.
💬 Student Voices:
Many of the girls expressed excitement to learn technologies they’d previously only heard about. Some shared their dreams of becoming full-stack developers, tech entrepreneurs, or UX designers. This program is their starting line.
Mudan Codes is proud to foster an environment where Somali girls can access global tools, local mentorship, and real-world experience — all with one goal: to lead the digital transformation of their communities.
