At Mudan Codes, Ramadan is more than just a month of reflection — it’s also a month of creativity, learning, and community. We proudly launched the 2025 edition of our Ramadan Hackathon, a coding competition designed to challenge and empower Somali girls in the field of programming and artificial intelligence.

This year’s format was engaging and accessible: participants were encouraged to answer a series of questions related to coding and AI, shared weekly on our social media platforms. To participate, each answer had to be followed by a like and a share, helping spread the excitement across our growing tech community.

As part of our mission to elevate Somali girls in the tech space, only girls were eligible to win, reinforcing our focus on creating space where they can thrive.

🏆 Weekly Prizes
Every Friday during Ramadan, we selected two winners who received licensed original software, including essential tools to help further their coding journey.

This initiative not only promotes continuous learning but also fosters a habit of daily coding and intellectual engagement throughout the holy month. It’s a fun, competitive, and rewarding way to stay sharp and inspired.
