Mudan Codes successfully concluded Phase 2 of our annual Ramadan Hackathon, a month-long digital challenge designed to inspire Somali girls to practice coding daily throughout the holy month.

This unique hackathon format focused on consistency, problem-solving, and community learning. Participants responded to daily coding questions, competed for prizes, and deepened their skills across programming fundamentals and AI logic.

• Daily coding or AI questions were posted across Mudan Codes’ platforms
• Participants were asked to answer, like, and share to engage
• Every Friday of Ramadan, three top participants were selected as winners
• Each winner received $10 in recognition of their performance and commitment

🎉 Outcomes:

• Dozens of girls engaged daily with the coding challenges
• Friendly competition led to increased motivation and accountability
• Many participants reported improvements in their speed, confidence, and coding fluency
• The initiative built excitement and momentum for further tech learning after Ramadan
